Tibet Overland and Everest Base Camp Tour |
Our journey begins with a sweeping scenic flight from Kathmandu over the
gigantic Himalayas and to the roof of the world at Lhasa. The old city of Lhasa
dates back to 6-7th century & is settled round the Potala Palace & Jokhang
temple. Adventure continues with a drive to Tingri, where we start a trek to
Rongbuk and EBC. The drive involves crossing passes of over 5000 meter with
stunning picturesque scenery of the Tibetan moonscape, rural villages, people,
monasteries and breathtaking views of the snow capped mountains of Mt. Everest,
Cho-Oyu and Mt. Shisapangma. Trekking from old Tingri onwards is one of the
magnificent walks through rural Tibetan villages and nomads camps. Finally we
end our wonderful walking journey at Everest Base Camp with a day visit to EBC
icefalls and Rongbuk Monastery.

Trek to Lunja or farther. O/N Camp. OR Drive to Lhasa. O/N hotel. Today onwards, free on
your own. |
DAY 08 |
Trek to Pangla-la east. O/N camp. |
DAY 09 |
Trek to Rongbuk Monastery. O/N Camp. |
DAY 10 |
Rest day for local hike to EBC Icefall. O/N Camp. |
DAY 11 |
Drive to Nyalam. O/N Lodge. |
DAY 12 |
Drive to Zhangmu and then to Kathmandu. O/N Hotel. |

Tibet travel permit, special permit for Everest region,
transportation in a land cruiser, twin sharing accommodation
on bed & breakfast basis in basic guest houses & tents (if
applicable), English speaking Tibetan guide and monastery
entrance fee as per the itinerary

Expenses of personal nature & personal gears, lunch & dinner
during the tour, photography charges, any cost arising from
landslides, road blockage, hiring porter, transportation
cost, One way flight for Kathmandu - Lhasa sector or vice
