This is an outstanding trek, visiting the high valleys of the Khumbu with time
to explore villages and monasteries and to sample the incredible hospitality of
the Sherpa people. We fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek slowly up the Dudh
Kosi Valley to the Sherpa capital, Namche. Here, we have time to acclimatize,
before following the quiet trail to Thame village in the Bhote Kosi valley. We
visit the ancient cliff-hugging Buddhist monastery. Descending to Khumjung, we
are treated to incredible views of Kantega and Thamserku and the Nuptse-Lhotse
wall with Mt Everest rearing above.
At Khumjung, we camp below Khumbila Peak, home of the patron God of the Khumbu,
before making our way towards Phortse, Pangboche and Thyangboche. The views
along the trail throughout are tremendous, with snow-capped mountains on all
sides, deep forested river valleys and small villages and their fields clinging
to impossible looking slopes.
Our highest point will be Pangboche (3908m) and its charming and unspoiled
monastery. After Pangboche we shall return to Lukla via Thyangboche and Namche.
A flight back to Kathmandu will conclude this wondrously divine trek. The best
time for doing this trip is March to May and September to December. |

Itinerary in Details |
DAY 01 |
Arrival in Kathmandu, pick up from airport. Transfer to
the hotel. |
DAY 02 |
Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2886m.) which takes about
30 minutes and trek from Lukla to Phakding (2640m.). |
DAY 03 |
Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 m.). |
DAY 04 |
Rest day at Namche Bazaar (3440m.) for acclimatization
and excursion around the places. |
DAY 05 |
Trek to Thame (3739m). |
DAY 06 |
Trek to Khumjung (3786m). |
DAY 07 |
Trek to Phortse (3542m). |
DAY 08 |
Trek to Pangboche (3985m). |
DAY 09 |
Trek to Tengboche [3864m] |
DAY 10 |
Trek to Namche (3440m.) |
DAY 11 |
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2886 m.). |
DAY 12 |
Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu . You take an early morning
flight back to Kathmandu. Pick up from airport. Transfer
to the hotel |
DAY 13 |
Free day in Kathmandu for souvenir shopping &
independent activities |
DAY 14 |
Send off to airport, departure from Kathmandu. |

11 Days trekking, 03 nights accommodation in Kathmandu in
a 3 Star hotel on bed & breakfast basis, guide, porters, 3
