Nestled between the Tibetan Plateau and the Dhaulagiri Himal range, is one of
the highest inhabited locale, the land of Dolpo. Coined the Bon Kingdom due to
it's strong ties to the pre-Buddhist religion of Bonpo, an animist belief. The
route meanders through pine & cedar forests and the high valleys before reaching
the mountain passes that rise towards the snow peaks of the Kanjiroba Himal, the
Kagmara Lekh and the vast Tibetan plateau providing spectacular views of the
five peaks of Dhaualgiri. One great opportunity that come in a life time to
explore this interesting village and lake shores of Phokshindo (Ringmo) and the
legendary Gompa of pre Buddhism Bonpo sect situated on the edge of the lake. On
return journey, we make the descent towards Dunai for our last night camp. |
Cost Includes:
23 days trekking, 4 nights accommodation in Kathmandu in a
3 Star hotel on bed & breakfast basis, full trekking crew,
trekking gears, guide, cook, porters, 3 meals a day i.e.
breakfast, lunch and dinner, insurance for the Nepalese
staff, Entry Permit for Dolpo National Park & trekking
permit fee, transportation and staffs, equipments, fuel,
meals, walk in / walk out to put point.
